Guide to the Building Process

Stage 1

Foundation: choose roof color, plumbing fixtures, windows, front door, fireplace


Stage 2

Framing: electrical extras, cable & telephone placement, exterior brick & stone, appliances, deck, garage doors


Stage 3

Rough-ins (plumbing, wiring, duct work): cabinets (& knobs), countertops, flooring, trim, door hardware color, light fixtures, iron ballasters


Stage 4

Drywall: interior and exterior paint color, fireplace stone


Stage 5

Trim & Paint: mirrors, shower enclosure, doorknobs


Stage 6

Finishes


Stage 7

Final punchout (taking care of the little things)
